Note the animated scene in the middle of the instrument. While the machine is playing music, the water spewing out of the ornate wall mounted fixture appears to flow downward into the waiting pool. This effect is accomplished by means of lighting effects located behind the scene, which is painted on very thin vellum paper, with everything but the "flowing" water area blacked out on the reverse side.
