Cremona Style F Piano with Pipes
Cremona Style F piano with pipes.
This example was once owned by Ted Bowers, who produced and directed a successful traveling vaudeville show “Whatever Happened to 1910” in California during the 1960s and 70s. After one performance, a man told Ted he still had his father’s “route” of coin pianos in storage. Ted acquired the lot, including this piano, several North Tonawanda Pianolins in their original packing crates, and others.
Interior of Cremona Style F piano with pipes.
Interior of Cremona F, showing the 32 stopped flute pipes. The pipes have an unusual layout with a gap aligning with the mid-treble gap in the piano action. Cremona Style G components are largely the same but with a few mechanical improvements. Our restoration was completed in 2005.
