Aging and Derelict Factory Buildings
Once the Proud Home of Melville Clark's Apollo Pianos

Art Reblitz took the following pictures of the Melville Clark and Wurlitzer factory buildings during a visit to DeKalb in May, 2010. If you are a former Wurlitzer employee and you remember what manufacturing or office operations were housed in the section of the building shown in each picture, we would welcome your comments.

What appears to be the original smokestack on the powerhouse is still standing near what could be an original water tower, at the left side of the photograph. The low silhouette buildings in the right side of this photo were additions to the original factory by the Wurlitzer Company.
