The Church of Epiphany where Herbert Vincent and Nellie
Blatchley were married on June 7, 1915. However, this photograph
was taken some 10-years later, with Herbert Vincent and his 1925
Overland automobile standing out in front of the church building
(the Parish Hall building is visible at the left; and the
rectory was located across the street and is not visible). The
church building, located at 2808 N. Altura Street, in Lincoln
Heights, Los Angeles, California, was formally designated as
Historic Cultural Monument #807 on 6/15/2005. |
Interior view of the Church of Epiphany, circa 1925. Nellie (Blatchley) Vincent
was the organist, and Herbert N. Vincent maintained the organ.
The pipe organ extended from the basement to the ceiling. The
pipe organ console and the front pipework is partially visible
directly behind the pulpit area (at picture right). |
