Herbert Vincent Newspaper Articles
|
Herbert Vincent "master fixer" article in the Los Angeles
Examiner, Sunday insert, dated 1953. He is shown working on what
appears to be a rebuilt de-Kleist-Wurlitzer band organ, fitted
out with late style Wurlitzer unit valves. Some of the yet
un-mounted vales can be seen sitting on the thin wooden slat
resting upon the top of the Wurlitzer duplex roll mechanism. |
This newspaper article about Herbert N. Vincent, and his broad
automatic mechanical music skills, appeared in the Long Beach
Press on July 2, 1963. |
Obituary for Herbert N. Vincent, August, 1966. While the closing
text states the Herbert Vincent's grandson, John N. Duckworth,
Marguerite (Vincent) Duckworth's oldest son, would be carrying
on the business, he was already a very busy advertising agent
for the Coca Cola Company, and so he did not have the free time
necessary to keep it going. However, Ray Thomas did have the
time, and he did carry on the restoration business for several
years, until he could no longer afford to do so. |
