The Seeburg Model J orchestrion located in the Bale of Hay
Saloon in Virginia City, Montana, in 1960. Note the beautiful
capitol dome art-glass. Harvey and Marion Roehl traveled each
summer and visited many mechanical music collections all over
the world. One of their favorite stops was the Bovey Restoration
at Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana, the lifetime
restoration project of Charley and Sue Bovey, where a large
collection of coin pianos, orchestrions, and band organs could
be seen and played by the public. Sitting on top of the Seeburg
J orchestrion is a Deagan Una-Fon, an electro-mechanically
operated set of orchestral bells.
