This typical catalogue illustration is from
a circa 1912-1914 Hupfeld catalogue, The Model B
Phonoliszt-Violina was a very popular case style, exemplified by
the fact the most surviving examples are of this style. However,
one disadvantage of the sleek Model B design is that there is no
room to accommodate such options such as the cumbersome duplex
roll changer, which possibly explains why the two surviving
duplex models, (one early and one late) used the Model A case. |
