Circa 1912 catalogue illustration. Although
the Philipps catalogue shows this instrument as a Paganini
orchestrion, some purists may like to argue that this particular
Paganini modell should never be termed an orchestrion, having
only a piano, harmonium, violin, and flageolet pipes. Philipps
nevertheless did often designate it as such. Certainly, though,
the larger Paganini instruments with a full orchestral range of
voices and extensive trapwork were true orchestrions.
