This is the Only Wurlitzer Paganini
Type Instrument Known to Survive

The Wurlitzer Paganini Violin Piano, Style 3, pictured in the home of Q. David Bowers, circa 1965.

A fair number of Philipps Paganini's do survive, however, but this is the only one originally imported and sold by Wurlitzer in the U.S. that remains intact.

It is pictured here in the home of Q. David Bowers, circa 1965. It was imported by Wurlitzer from Philipps, circa 1910-11, and is one of two known Philipps Paganini (style 3) machines known to still exist. The other example was just recently imported into the U.S. by a collector.

The dazzling white finish provides a striking appearance, emphasizing the polished brass ornamentation adorning the front of the case. During restoration of the casework (circa 1975) it was noted that the case was originally finished in a dark or fumed oak color. It is unknown who painted the case white, or when.
