Figure 15. This is one of the five known Welte Style 1 Orchestrions known to have survived to 2016. This one built in 1901 is believed to have been originally installed in the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC. The roll frame on this organ is the earliest style, which requires manual rewinding of the music roll.
