In the early Coinola accumulator, which is
similar to an early Cremona mechanism, the weight of the coin
trips the long lever and turns the counting wheel.

The late Coinola accumulator has a
spring-loaded ratchet wheel, similar to the concept used in
Nelson-Wiggen, late Marquette and Wurlitzer pianos.
